Industrial coatings are not bought successfully by selecting a paint brand and a colour. after preparation, before first coat;
after primer application;
after intermediate build is achieved;
at final DFT confirmation;
before handover where curing time is critical.
This does not mean creating bureaucracy for its own sake. It means creating checkpoints that allow issues to be caught while they are still inexpensive to correct. If the first time anyone checks the job is after the final coat has cured, many of the most important variables are already concealed.
Preparation quality still determines coating lifespan
